Before UFOs became part of modern culture, human beings were already telling stories about visitors from the sky, gods descending from the heavens, strange lights, hidden realms, serpent beings, angels, demons, star people and mysterious forces beyond ordinary understanding.
The Myths & origins section explores the older roots of today’s UFO and non-human intelligence lore. It looks at ancient myths, religious symbolism, folklore, legends and early accounts of strange encounters that may echo themes now associated with alien contact: missing time, beings from above, forbidden knowledge, hybrid origins, divine messengers and warnings from beyond.
This section does not claim that ancient myths are proof of extraterrestrial visitation. Instead, it examines how different cultures imagined contact with unknown intelligences — and how those stories continue to shape the way people interpret UFOs, alleged entities and unexplained phenomena today.
Some myths may be symbolic. Some may be spiritual. Some may be misunderstood history. Others may simply show that humanity has always looked to the sky and wondered whether something else was watching back.
